We find it quite odd that GoPro don’t offer a wall charger docking station to recharge spare batteries – if you are like us and own a couple of spares it can take a long time to recharge all your batteries inside the camera. So we got on the web and were pleasantly surprised when we found they were available right here in Canada! We ordered the Wall Charger for GoPro Batteries from Launch Helmet Cams out in Vancouver and this is what we got:
The GoPro wall battery charger plugged in and charging
The battery charger has a spring loaded sliding clip on the top that holds the battery in place. The plug on the back flips back in to the charger to make it compact for travel. There is a charge status light on the front – it glows red while charging and changes to blue when it has finished charging.

We were a bit surprised to discover the GoPro wall charger dock from Launch Helmet Cams took about 3 hours to charge a battery from dead flat, which is a bit longer than charging the battery in the camera. Still, we are happy with the charger and it is a very handy accessory to have if you have any spare batteries for your GoPro.

You forgot to mention it has a built in USB port into which you can plug any USB charging device including the GoPro, handy when you are too lazy to pull the battery out of the cam. Then again, maybe they have more then one model – mine has the built in USB port.
